I made a quilt coat! It’s my new favorite article of clothing so expect to see me wearing it constantly. I told Matt that if our house ever caught on fire that this is what I would grab before evacuating, and yes, I made him do an entire photo shoot for me while we walked to dinner a couple weeks ago. The fabric is a print by Alexia Abegg for Ruby Star Society called Honey Double Wedding Ring (yes, it's a cheater print - I wanted to use one for my first quilt coat because the pressure of choosing the right pattern and fabrics was crushing), the lining is Moonglow Dahlia by Alexia too, the binding is Starry in saddle, and I made cute patchwork pockets to coordinate. The pattern is by Patchwork & Poodles and it was excellent! I think a confident beginner could make their own quilt coat without a problem. So make one! Let's be twins!
