fresh as a daisy | a quilt for Luna

 

For Luna 🌸 I didn’t look at the pattern too closely when I bought it so I was a little taken aback when I had to cut out hundreds of pieces but all the time spent on this quilt was definitely worth it! And since it took so long to make I got lots of tv time in - I watched all of Rez Dogs, a bunch of Abbott Elementary, and season 3 of Bridgerton 💜

May the Force Be with You | a quilt for Sebastian

I made this quilt for Rae's baby brother back in 2023 and for some reason this post was stuck in my drafts so I'm just publishing it now. Off course he needed a Star Wars quilt too (check out hers here!). I asked his mom Thelma which characters she'd like best and she said Leia, Luke, Han, and R2-D2. All good ones! I had a lot of fun paper piecing the blocks because it's a technique I don't usually use and it's always nice to practice. Like last time, I made two and raffled off the second one to benefit a local family whose daughter is fighting cancer. I love making quilts and it's even nicer if I can help someone who needs a little extra support along the way.
