I like blueflash // win yourself a photo shoot

If you're friends with me on facebook then you probably already know that Matt launched a facebook page for blueflash this week. I've been trying to spread the word because get this - he's giving away a photo shoot to one of the first 500 people to 'like' the page. Of course I would support Matt in anything he does since he's my husband, but I also really like his work. He may not believe me - I'm probably his harshest critic - but it's because I know he has so much to offer. You don't have to comment here if you'd rather head right to the blueflash facebook page, but if you throw your name in the hat I would love to know what you would use the shoot for. hooray! it's giveaway day!

Today is Sew, Mama, Sew's giveaway day and I'm thrilled to be able to participate!  Last year I found so many new blogs to read and I'm excited to browse the giveaways this year for the same reason.  Possibly winning a giveaway is a bonus.

If you win my giveaway, you'll receive a length of bunting (pictured at the top of the post - it's about five feet long), this onesie with a stitched butterfly, and... 

this lovey blanket.  I realize my fantastic zebra rug is competing for attention, but the blanket is the true star of the show.  It's half minky and half flannel on both sides with coordinating ribbons in white, pink, and green.  Of course I forgot to measure it and I don't feel like doing it now, but it's roughly 15" by 18".

one year

Hip hip hooray!  It's my one year blog anniversary, also known as a blogiversary, but Matt made fun of me when I said that the other night.  We'll stick with blog anniversary.  

To celebrate I'm giving away this pink polka dot garland (inspired by this one by the purl bee).  It's 15 inches long, perfect for adding some cheer to a craft room, nursery, or anywhere in the house!  One use I discovered while taking these shots - decorate the chair of your guest of honor at your next party!

Rhodey Girl Tests

I was recently introduced to Rhodey Girl Tests, the website of a Rhode Island native and current Philadelphia resident who maintains a healthy lifestyle while entertaining for friends and family.  Sabrina's website is devoted to her experiences in the kitchen and I intend to test several of her recipes, including baked taterfries, apple walnut raisin muffins, butternut squash soup, the strawberry banana love smoothie, and her basic granola.

Last week Sabrina began a giveaway for delicate soles- adorable flats that will give your feet relief after a long day of shopping or a hard night of dancing.  Each pair comes with two totes - one for your heels and one for the delicate soles so you can keep them on you at all times.  Once rolled and slipped into their little tote they're about the same size as a lipstick, which means you can throw them in any purse and maybe even keep them in your pocket!
