My mom and I made this quilt for one of my brother's best friend's sons. Anita and Jon welcomed their second baby boy recently and he definitely needed a quilt for this New England winter! I've loved them as a couple since they were in high school and it's really fun to make quilts for their babies because I've known them since they were essentially babies themselves. I got the idea for the star pattern from Jeni's vintage star quilt tutorial which I've made a few times. I put the top and back together with a mix of greens from my stash and my mom quilted and bound it.
